      I purchased my template from Rocket Theme. Just because my membership has expired, I should still be able to get assistance in the forum for a template that I purchased from this organization and am still configuring for the first time. The post I made has been deleted!!

      Is this how you treat your customers? Pretty shabby, if you ask mel

      Your post has not been deleted but moved to the correct board, Versatility III. Access to the templates boards requires an active membership. This is covered in the terms and conditions and Top Questions:
      Q. What happens when my RocketTheme Club Membership expires?
      A. Once your RocketTheme Club Membership expires, you will no longer have access to the template and style download sections, the member support forums, or new template and style releases.

      Concerning your problem, here are the answers:

      The icon is found in /images/style5/bullet-body.png (or other style used). Just replace it by yours.

      To move the submenus, add this to template.css:

      td.left ul.menu li { margin-left: -15px !important; }
      td.left ul.menu li.parent { margin-left: -15px !important; }

    • Hello. I just renewed my membership but I still don't have access to the template specific forum boards. Has this functionality been removed from the general subscription that I was used to? It seems like the site alludes to this feature maybe is reserved now to the premium Developer Membership.

      I would be very disappointed if that is the case.

    • Dennis, please try logging off and back on.. you should see the template specific areas. If you do not, please send a quick email via the support form ( www.rockettheme.com/contact-us ) and we'll take a look because you should see them.

      Hello,

      If you have renewed your membership, you would be able to access to the template and style download sections, the member support forums, or new template and style releases.

      Try to logout, clear your browser cache and cookies, and re-login again.

      If this still doesn't solve your problem, please use this form to contact us

    • Was the need to purchase an ongoing tech support plan to participate in forums specific to templates you purchased made clear in the TOS? I don't think it was. I agree you shouldn't "have" to answer certain kinds of questions but are you saying I can't even report a bug without paying $60 a year? If you sell a product you really should stand behind it.

      At the very least you should not prohibit other users from participating in open discussion and helping each other. Isn't that a big part of what a forum is supposed to do?

      By moving posts from users to a paid area of your site you are prohibiting open discourse. Very un-Open Source like behavior!

    • Yeah, goes to show that no one really ever reads fully a TOS. Obviously I should have. But just because it is in the TOS doesn't mean it is good business. I'm not saying I should have ongoing download access, or even ongoing free support - but locking me out of User Forums that provide help relating to templates I PURCHASED that have bugs, well that just doesn't see right to me.

    • Maybe not the best analogy, but any product you purchase has a 'warranty period' and after that you have pay for support or repairs.

      I don't think you'll find a product out there that offers 'free support forever'.

      As far as support goes, IMO, the cost of membership is well worth it.

      And for 'bugs', the actual bugs in the templates are few and far between, most issues here are related to customizing the template or getting 3rd party extensions to work with the templates, not bugs in the templates themselves.
    • Thanks,

    • Hello Everyone, I love rockettheme, and I agree with the value as being unmatched by any other service out there. I just renewed my membership for a year because I needed more specific help on a template and I needed another license as well. I am sorry for being such a Nuby McNubster, but I can't find the template specific forums either. I tried the link at the beginning of this thread, only to get a 404 error. No biggie, but I thought I had run across them before, and I just can't seem to find them right now. Can someone give me some basic dummy directions such as:

      Main Forum>>General Discussion>>Where to now? etc.
