    • Probably went on the fritz right after you enabled SEF.... :)

      Is it configured properly?

      Basic Core SEF:

If joomla is in the root; htdocs, or public_html...

In Global Configurations, Search Engine Friendly URLs Yes, Use Apache mod_rewrite Yes, Add suffix to URLs No.

      Change htaccess.txt to .htaccess.

If it’s in a folder, you need to change the # RewriteBase / to reflect the path of your site.

      Change:

      # RewriteBase /

      to:

RewriteBase /(the name of the folder joomla is in)

If that doesn't work, search or post here:

      forum.joomla.org/viewforum.php?f=544

If you are using a 3rd part component, contact the developer.

:P Also rest assured that the functionality of your template is in no way tied to your subscription.
    • Thanks,
      jim

    • Hmm.. that fixed it (turning off SEF). I have not touched the site in months.. I have had SEF on the whole time.. Oh well.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I am sure I will end up getting a subscription again at some point :)

    • What about questions regarding he Afterburner template? I couldn't find a forum for it...

I'm just having a problem where I want to give the user7 position a negative top margin so it moves up a little, but when I do that it is covered, even though all the modules have a background configured to none...

      Thanks!

    • Hi Luciano,

You can use firebug to see what's on top of it. Good practice too... ;)

Otherwise, unless someone is very helpful, you'll see the answer coming that has been written this thread several times: If you want updates or support, rejoin the club ;)

      Cheers,
      Tom

Thanks Andy for the confirmation. I thought that was the case, but got charged at $90 for a renewal of my lapsed account w/o the discount. Who do I need to contact?

    • Hi Luciano,

Great you found it. I know what you mean about Firebug, personally I don't like it so much. I use Stylizer, with which I can preview, modify and save css right away.

      Cheers,
      Tom

    • Hey Tom,

I'll look into it. I also use the Web Developer add on. Lot's of tools with a right-click. :)

      Take care,

      Luciano
