What's an Entitlement??

    • I don't use phpbb3 but I think three days to get all the new phpbb3 RT templates onto the 'net is just a wee bit sad....bit of a kick in the teeth for all the designers when their work is given away for free. Makes a mockery of my membership as well.

No idea why I'm telling you about that...just thought I would. And before anybody asks, I was looking for the wee Joomla SEO book and nothing else.

Anyway, the reason for the message is to ask if somebody can confirm that RT v2 works in IE6 now....I'm free from work at the moment so cannot check myself! It's not this whacky User Agent thing again is it??

      Cheers

    • I still don't understand that entitlements thing.

    • In simple terms - an entitlement = a website that you can install a RT template onto.

So if you have 3 'entitlements' as an 'ordinary' member then you can have 3 websites that use RT templates. Those on the Pro or Developer plan (or whatever its called now) plus non-RT members have unlimited 'entitlements' so can use whatever RT template they like on as many websites as they like.

That's my understanding of it anyway....!

      Cheers for now

ps - The Forum is still not working on my IE6...still looks like road-kill for me!

If i remember correctly from another post by Andy...

Let's say you have 5 domains and 3 entitlements. That means you can use 3 themes on those 5 domains. You can of course change templates at any time so it's not like you can only download 3 templates. The thing is that you can only use 3 templates at the same time.

Ok, I always thought I understood the whole entitlement thing correctly, but now I am getting confused too. :o

      Lets try some math:
      Question 1:
Mr. X has got 5 domains.
      Domain 1: TerranTribune
      Domain 2: Replicant2
      Domain 3: Perihelion
      Domain 4: MixxMag
      Domain 5: MixxMag
How many entitlements is Mr. X using?

    • Mr. X is using 5 entitlements.

What i meant in my previous post was that you can use 3 concurrent themes and choose which 3 of the 5 domains you want RT themes on.

I personally dont see the point of having all the templates without access to the Forum and being part of RT Community. Being a member here is priceless!!
