What's an Entitlement??

    • Actually that one is looking quite compelling for a site I'm about to update. So I hope you have some success there.

I'm not looking to share the templates with all and sundry. That's not allowed and, unlike the RIAA or MPAA, the money I pay actually goes back to the creators of the content so that's also how it should be.

And yes there are people who will never respect other people though I wish anyone luck with an RT template that will probably arrrive with out docs and loaded with malware to boot.

Good on 'em. Not so good on people landing on these people's sites. Oh, I amost said "idiots" there but that would be unkind, wouldn't it? :)

    • Hi there.. sorry for stupid question - but im still not clear with entitlement:

      1) I renew my membership account for 75$ (3entitlements)
      2) i install theme1 for site1, theme2 for site2 and theme3 for site3 = 3 entitlements
      3) i want to install theme4 for site4, so i have to purchase another 3entitlemens (75$) ?
      4) if i want to install 30 sites with 30 themes i have to purchase 10x3entitlemens (10x75$) ?
      5) So if I want to install unlimited sites with unlimited themes, i have to purchase (upgrade) unlimited Entitlements for 240$ ?

      Right?

      Thanks

      1) Renewing adds 3 entitlements to the ones you had before. So if you had 3 earlier , you will have 6 after renewing. Check your Account to see how many entitlements you have before the renewal and what prices any renewal might cost you.
      2) Yes. Same would be if you used Theme1 for site1, Theme1 for site 2 and Theme1 for site 3. Using RT Club Templates on three Joomla installs equals three entitlements.
      3) Yes. (Renewal prices are listed in your Account -> Upgrade/Renewal.)
      4) If you have zero entitlements before you purchase, then yes. Also if you want to install the same (meaning 1) RT Club Template on 30 Joomla installs. However, the price would be lower.
      5) Yes. And that would be less expensive than your alternative 4.

    • That's about right, as far as I know!

But if you charge at least $8 for each of these 30 websites, you've recovered your costs for the developer membership. On the other hand, you have to have the $240 to be a member of the developer's wee club in the first place. But then again, you've saved $510 by not buying all those entitlements! :P

    • i actually feel sorry for the mods and the people working at RT for this thread. WOW.
The only thing i didnt know is that i could download a new theme and swap it with my current entitlement. thats pretty cool. but it does suck that i paid and then see them free at other sites

    • Membership also entitles you access to the members area of the site, namely the support forums for each template, as long as your membership is current.

Those 'other sites' don't support the templates and if you get them from elsewhere, you never know what's happened to the code...

Membership is cheap enough to obtain things legally and get some great support.

    • I am just a normal Joomla template club status

it says I have 3 entitlements

does this mean I can download 3 more templates? I think I already downloaded 3 (1 was accidental and I never used it)

I would love some clarification so I know what I am doing :)

      Thanks

    • You can download as many templates as you want and test them locally (or online).
3 entitlements just means you are allowed to use 3 templates simultaneously in the web.
But if a new template comes out and you want to use it instead of one the 3 you can do that ...
      It still counts as 3.
