Has anyone been able to get a working CAPTCHA solution? I've tried installing every plug I can find and NONE of them show up. I've tried several of the solutions found in these forums and none of them worked either.
If anyone has figured this out for the Mynxx template or any other, could you please offer up the details?
All captchas are different. I need to see it to get it right ...
It just wont work out of the box as long as you don't exclude the form you are using from the input-styling in the template-settings
Ok, currently, I have AlphaRegistration installed. I have the configuration set right, as best as I can tell. I have the reCaptcha keys entered. I really don't what else I can do to make this work. As I said all of the plugins I install have this same problem, nothing shows up.
I don't know if you can even say this is working, "more-or-less", as it doesn't even show up.
Here's the link to where I figure it should show up.
Hi, in essence it is possible to put a captcha in, but it requires pretty extensive customizations to the virtuemart core code.
Most of the available captcha solutions for VM do only work half or not at all.
I have done some quite extensive work on it, the main problem is that virtuemart its own form validation is to say the least a bit buggy. Adding a captcha to that will only make it worse.
Recaptcha will probably not work for you because it uses javascript that does not play well with other javascript libraries.
It took me several weeks to get it to work the way I wanted; adding recaptcha and ajax form validation to virtuemart; and to be honest, it is still not completely done
I wouldn't recommend one, because I know you'll run into a lot of trouble. To make it work in all browsers is another painful experience.

If this works, I'll be able to brag it up all over the place..
It looks easy enough, and he says it's easy. But I'm not sure I'll be able to figure out where to put the code. He offers the code, but doesn't seem to really explain which file it goes to. Buuut, I'm gonna give it a shot, even though I'm not much of a code monkey...
Not too fast, Mynxx new release supports mootools 1.2, but there is still a little bug in the vm theme which will be fixed in the next release, then you can easily implement it.
That is probably what I will be doing too. I was waiting for a mynxx moo 1.2 release. :cheesy:

Ok, I'll hold onto my socks for a bit.. . Any thoughts on when this will be out?
I'm nervous about updates, I've done some hacking, (generally applying someone else's hack), to the site and I'd hate to loose my changes.. Granted, I can back up and test.. but... .
