Re: Pages not loading when enabling SEF and .htaccess

re Still looks like SEF is not enabled.
I have enabled it as Yes, Yes, No again. I tried going back to all No to see what would happen, and take it forward a step at a time, but the server is slow to make the changes and I don't get a rapid response to my tests.

1) Whatever you did the site seems to be working normally now;
A) Pages are loading quickly
For me, the logo (and images) AFAIK, display properly on every page
Be sure to clear your Joomla cache, and your browser's cookies and cache.
2) Forget about 'right click'
3) If your component requires SEF, try again to get it configured properly, then enable the component, no sense in putting the cart before the horse.
4) Once SEF works, enable the component and see if you have a problem at that point.
5) Let us know how you get along, Disqus is a great component, but it even hangs on sites like CNN! So it may need some tweaking.

Interesting..... some of the links (modules) DO open, but only ones that, for some reason, are not being affected by the Global configuration SEO settings.
I have changed the htaccess.txt to .htaccess and it's in the root.

Many thanks, Jem! I've a lot to learn, as you can see.
I guess my problem now is to get all the SEOs working.... and then get Disqus up and running.
(This guy is desperate to get comments on his blogging!)
I'm not sure what's causing this or what might have been changed in your files. You may want to try downloading a fresh copy of Joomla for the same version that you are running here, and replace the htaccess file with a new one, then try.
Some items when installed, change the htaccess file.
You also have several things going on within the site that are duplicating things.
K2 is a very big content construction kit and doesn't use Joomla's core tables or features, if you use it, you're stuck with it.
Superblogger is styled for that template and just reads from what is already in Joomla. I prefer and like Superblogger.
Disqus comments is a comment feature if you just want comments, but it's also already built into Superblogger...so enabling both will cause an issue.
Trying to use Superblogger over K2 will also cause an issue.
You also have jcomments in there and a comment button for the content articles in your editor loaded in. If you're using disqus through superblogger, you should not have jcomments as well.
You are using the K2 member login, but if I were you, I would use Joomla's core one.
My suggestion would be to get rid of K2, get rid of jcomments, get rid of disqus comments, and just use Superblogger. Superblogger also adds the social stuff to the articles already, so you can even remove the other social links module if you want.
After you upload the new htaccess file, let me know and we can keep testing.
