    • You should be able to download the patch for Populus even with an expired membership. Those patch files are available to all members past and present.

    • Are the current downloads in the members' section all updated to fix the vulnerability?

    • Lots of confusion in there.

The statement on most template downloads areas say "This patch is only necessary if you downloaded this template prior to Jan 06 2008", but then the full template downloads mainly say "updated 4th January", in actual fact they mainly say "Updated: 01/04/2008" using American style dating of month first then day, while in the 'date added column' some of them declare 12/01/2007 which might be using UK time format of day then month, but it's not clear, and the whole lot added together is as clear as mud and needs some clarity.

It is not difficult to sort this out, it only requires a little willingness.

This sort of muddled approach destroys customer confidence

Andy doesn't have customers, Big Joe... he has fans. He almost has Rock Star status in the Joomla world. I'm using humor (very little) here to simply say that Andy and his team have diagnosed, fixed, and implemented EVERY version of almost every template in their software library in under a week. That is amazing. I've tried other template 'clubs' along the way, and I can assure you there is NOONE who cares more about his clients, than Andy.

Relax a little. Your suggestions are helpful, but there's no need to wrap them in poison ink.

No, all modules, components and mambots stay when you install a new template. You have just to change the position of the modules if the layout is different.
