Re: Gantry on Joomla 1.6 got: XML error: syntax error at line 1

Hi there,
I really don't want to admit defeat on this, but I'd like to know if you can give me any pointers of things to try before I perhaps have to set things up from scratch again in a very short space of time
To recap:
j1.7, up-to-date gantry & panacea.
Trying to access Panacea styles via templates wants to get me to page:
....administrator/index.php?option=com_gantry&view=template&layout=edit&id=116
but gives me:
XML error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 13
How can I see into this particular piece of misbehaving XML?
I want to know if I can connect this behaviour somewhere in com_gantry to a particular component I have installed. (Completely fresh installation on diff domain with same server works fine). Or something else?
Should I attach a different database - a default Joomla installation one perhaps & see if that works?
Should I strip a copy of this site, component by component and see whether that helps? Or is there a better way of seeing what affects what?
I tried backups from beginning 2012 & Nov 2011, but they exhibit same behaviour on 2 diff domains.
I've reinstalled Gantry & re-installed Panacea, with no change.

I also have a similar error that just suddenly appeared today.
I am running Joomla 1.7.3 on a windows 7 system. I have tried accessing either of my two rockettheme theme settings pages, ( I have Modulus and Momentum(active) installed) I received the "XML error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 13" every time. I have two other sites which are both fine, one running Joomla 1.7.3 and the other Joomla 2.5 (Stable version).
Is there any way to know which file is causing the error? I updated my gantry from 3.2.13 to 3.2.14 in hopes that this would help. Nothing changed.
Just to note: I have tried this with firefox and IE9. I have also cleared the caches.

Hi Craig
Can you PM me with a temporary Super Admin access please and I will take a look to see what the cause may be.
Thanks
