SOLVED VirtueMart 2.0.22b Breaks Gantry

    • Thanks BBC Webmaster! I will test this out when I get a chance. I am familiar with that setting and I've always left it on 'Use Joomla Default'. I can only assume that since this was my first VM2 site that I thought I needed to change it. I checked my other VM2 sites and they were already set correctly but I never tried to update them after this first one failed. I will notify the VirtueMart forum that this has been solved. Thanks again!

    • FYI, we've been talking with VM devs and we also debugged the situation. It turns out the problem lies in the way VM 2.0 is handling templates when using overrides. This issue is not Gantry specific, but a problem with any template with styles, for example Gavick templates have had the same issue.

In short VM is not taking into account Joomla styles, and this is causing the problems. As "BBC Webmaster" points out, the best approach for now is to use the "use joomla default" for the category template.

Hopefully this will get fixed for the next release. Thanks!

    • Thank you for sticking with the issue and continuing to try to resolve the real source. At least the alternative allowed for the products to be displayed. You guys Rok!

A little more info...I still had an error pop up on my shopping cart, and changing the default template for the shop to also be the joomla default fixed the issue, too.

So, to clarify, both the template settings in the Shopfront section need to "use joomla default."
Yup, never mind the previous post BOTH settings have to be Use Joomla Default. I will correct that post .
      Thanks BBC Webmaster

for my site, the problem appears only when the both options is enabled....when I disable and turn on joomla default on both options, the problem disappears but then appears another problem...template changes...there is no template layout but some different style...

check this out..this is original template :
      duclasport.com/prodaja

and this is template under VM with use the joomla default options for VM template..
      duclasport.com/kikboks

      notice the difference ..
