I hate to rain on your parade, but realistically....
We have one channel for 'idle chatter', IMHO, that's enough.
Creating a channel for each club or platform would be impractical.
In addition to answering questions on the forums, it would be impossible for us to monitor each.
(Also many members ask for support on the channel which is not what the channel is for or what RT support is all about.)
If you have problems with a template, post in the template specific forum
If your question falls outside of template support, post in the General or Watercooler forum, someone may be able to help or point you in the right direction.
If you have general questions about Joomla, joomla.org is a great place to search or post.
If you want to learn about coding or various platforms, Google is your friend!
For example, if you want to learn about css, this is a great resource:

No need for RT to reinvent the wheel, (or be the ONE source for everything you want to do) pretty much, you can find whatever you are looking for and a community that supports it.

I dont know if its exactly what he is looking for, but for anyone else who reads this, We are just trying to add each of our different talents and wishes for what we see the Web can do, and where to go, while collectively making money together... Kind of like the "All Together as a Whole" from Amy Stephens, but much smaller private scale where only developers/designers that have proved themselves here in the community as well as in their own endeavors...
About the new Release... As My Momma always said... It'll be there when you get back. its not going anywhere... so this guy... is going to bed. Enjoy the Expo to anyone attending.. wish and hope they are broadcasting/recording most of the sessions..

This is what I knew that of course it is a matter of an allocation of energy and resources, if You just think about monitoring and any time that would be spent on that and must and should be spent on what it is.
But airplane is made of metal, so it is heavier than air, but it flies.

Trying to figure out the server settings. Do you have them? I am using Quassel IRC client (Kubuntu/KDE) to connect to IRC, so I need to figure out how to connect to it. All the searching so far has given me a lot of info about the Mibbit web client, but nothing about their server... - Regards,

JEM made a great point for me, keeping information together. I use the forums here nearly every day, either to find a solution or to help someone else find a solution. If I am brutally honest I only became a member because I stumbled over a site I liked, checked the template out and found it was RT. I was going to buy a single template until I saw the forum activity and how people really did help each other here. To my mind any dilution of that would be a pure waste.
Andy - thanks for your generosity and a great team producing great templates. Have a brilliant time at the Expo.
