1. All Gantry based templates will (or can be) updated to the latest Gantry framework.
2. I don't think you will see non-Gantry templates 'updated'. It's not a 'simple' matter of converting J1.0 templates to J1.5 templates as RT has done in the past. The standard Joomla framework and the Gantry framework are worlds apart, so each template would have to be redone from scratch.

Great idea. I totally agree. I know each design is unique and has it's place, but I just haven't been thrilled with the last few designs. I can only hope that July's template will bring us some fireworks. (doesn't a sneak peak of the upcoming template sound like a great idea...hint, hint)
