All that i can say is that RT Support is the best that the people can find into the Template clubs, even maybe this user felt that there was not help. Dont know!!!
BTW i have this post since 2 days ago and any of the Mod Squads say anything about it www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=18...63233&rb_v=viewtopic
I know maybe yours dont see it, but i still think that RT Support is Terrific.

I was just pointed towards your post and I think that part of the reason you haven't seen an answer on this one is because Mynxx is a very complicated template...and Virtuemart is not an easy component to accommodate. To be honest, this one is over my head and bringing it to another template is down right difficult. A lot of the reason Mynxx works so well is because there is a mountain of extra code including a specific Virtuemart template to make it work.

Sorry you haven't received an answer...as maybe an "I don't have an answer would be better than none at all".

Thanks for the kind words and understanding!!!

Just FYI, it's not being ignored, there may just be very few people who will be able to answer it.

Most competent developers would charge you $75/hour or more for answers of the caliber you will find in these forums.

So, if you think about it, $60.00 would get you less than an hours worth of time with a developer, .8 hours, or 45 to 50 minutes....

In realistic terms, 9-10 questions that take 5 minutes to fix, 4-5 questions that take 9-10 minutes to fix, 1-2 that takes 20 minutes or more....

Beginners ask a lot of simple questions that can be answered quickly, and advanced members that need more complex solutions take more time to reply to....

95% of the members here, whether they are beginners or advanced users ask far more questions than you could expect to receive answers to if you were actually having to pay for each support incident based on the amount of time it takes to solve.....

But that the beauty of RT!

Not only that, because the moderators have a lot of experience with and various components, you can often get answers to questions that are not template related.

Even though we are not expected to answer each and everyone, we try hard to do so whenever possible in the spirit of the RT community.

(Sometimes, honestly, it's impossible, and you really can't expect it.)

This is evident in the following thread.....

      Hats off to Arifin......

Even though it was a 3rd party template, he tried his best to offer a solution.

While you can't expect this to happen every time, it's just one instance of what RT support is about.

    • Hello;
I am a newbie, so please have patience and forgiveness.

I installed MYNXX virtumart, everything going GREAT!!
Then, suddenly, it seems I have done something and the menu FOOTER links are not functioning. I have gone through all help files but cannot seem to make them link to ANY pages. The footer string just continues to look like this no matter what I do to link it up to another page:

Instead of the normal string that does link to another page that looks like this:

Can you please share with me how to fix this issue? I am sure it is something I have done or are NOT doing. I am a very fast learner but I am not a programmer, so please explain as you would to a "child".

Also, I already removed it all from the server, deleted the database and re-uploaded everything.
All went fine again, to start over. BUT...........suddenly now, it has "gone all back" to that last database format. Is it possible I didn't get the back-up database removed from the server and it has suddenyl reverted back to the old version?

Please advise asap, as I have spent many hours setting up the products and descriptions, so if you can help me figure out how or why the fotter links and top main menue links are not working I will be eternally grateful. Will, Jr.

    • Hey guys and gals....

Please do not post template related questions here!

Your issues will most likely go unnoticed.

If you have posted a support question here, please re post it in the proper forum with a proper subject.

      Thanks.

    • I've had had templates questions answered even after my membership expired years ago - now that is aloha!

Go to the other templates sites - you won't find many active mods - I hit these boards before going to J! forums to find out the skinny on stuff first

Just would like to hear what C Pearson has to say about the posts above.

Edit: Perhaps its better to let this thread to rest in peace ... and close this topic.

    • The "moderators or mod squad" must just lay people who have spent a lot of time online and not actual staff of Rocket Themes -- my warning was and is that if you purchase a membership here beware that you will be able to reach RT customer service because it doesn't exist. An assumption I made when I purchased the theme.

I wish all of the moderators who took time to respond to this post would have taken time to help solve the problem.

I have questions now that I still can't get answered and have started the search for a theme club that offers support with membership.

    • In response to Henning I would say Arifins offer of assistance to a post is WONDERFUL however to a new member the warning is still that you may or MAY NOT get the assistance you need. And I never said it was because the lay folks didn't try but it's not a system that is set-up where you are guaranteed to the get the help you need and that has been my problem. All I stated is that it would be nice to have customer service even if it was a premium service for those of us who need guaranteed assistance and being new to the theme world I assumed customer service was a given and found out it was not. Thus the warning.

    • C Pearson, you could have learned PHP in the time this thread has been running. Stop complaining, recognize RT for the amazing deal it is, and do a little homework to solve your problem.

There is no better buy than a RT membership.
