I had to switch to Versatility (EDIT: Now Elemental)

I've looked for School/Joomla forums with no success. I don't know how many school folks are using Joomla but I imagine the potential is huge. Many districts host their own sites and are affraid to load MySQL and Joomla - in fact our school district won't consider ANY open source software - so now I know where my tax money is going!!! I'm not a school district employee so our district wouldn't even consider my offer to assist them - even for free.

I know of at least 1 hosting company that gives free hosting to public schools... Joomla is free. Andy's templates are reasonably priced. So the "materials cost" of this effort is pretty low - I'm suprised it's not more popular.

The chief of technology here did make an interesting comment - "If we use Joomla, who will administer it?" They perceive Joomla and Open Source to be lacking a support network. There's a ton of turnover here - so they are concerned about loosing the webmaster and not being able to find a replacement with adequate knowledge.

I think a forum for schools is a great idea. I would really like to see a Joomla consultancy that specializes in schools with remote support. Your sites are perfect examples of how Joomla can be used in schools of any grade....

      Keep up the good work!

Nice and busy. Being a school site, you might want to correct the typos though... there's at least four I caught on the home page alone.
Can you help me out? I am just a math teacher that can't spell! I fixed a few, but there are probally a few more. During the school year, I usually hear about my mistakes in 5 mins., but the summer is a bit different.

Look for guidnce ... think it was on a list of departments. Missing the "a"

    • Hello Stewart,

BHS is looking great. I couldn't help myself in noticing your desire to keep every page within two clicks from the home page.

YouYou added the MOO.Fx feature in V II. Since you metioned recently that you loaded V II. Geoffrey Gonzalez

    • Very well made indeed.

Small thing though, is that all the "Pictures" buttons on the sportspage menu are not working properly. Trying to view them result in a nice "_G2_WRONG_ITEMID" error window. ;)
