    • TY William for the feedback on GatorHost!

I'll personally check your registration... I didn't get notice of it, either, so it must have hung somewhere...

As far as connecting women to women... YES! I do have plans for that... I have some E-Cards just for fun between women (Nookie: Just DID it!, and a few fun joke cards), also I will be purchasing and installing the Community Builder Invite component, to spread the word... AND I have a bunch of PDF downloads that have my website address (with a click-on link, of course) that say "Share this with a friend and tell them about Nookie Notes!" on the bottom.

Wow! You have had alot of good feedback! And quite rightly too for a well designed site that looks nothing like the template.

Thank you Martin. I still have a long way to go (been working developing lots of content..), but if things go well, our launch will be April 15.
Dare I say it? It did hang a little when I first entered it.

LOL! Well, I think we are about two weeks from signing the investment paperwork. At that point, I WILL be moving my site to the ExMasters server, to see how that goes.

    • Cool, it's tricky finding a good host these days, good luck with it and with your site.

    • The idea of the site itself is beautiful, because it responds to needs, like all great businesses!
      And...made with love. Go on!
(And I wait for the three sample stories. Or should I write one?)
First post, first time being here...allright!

    • Wolfgang, Danke!

One of the sample stories is posted... When you are signed in, you can find it in the top menu.

Because my investor wanted to do more development before we go live, the site will not be fully live until April 15th... But more stories will go online soon. :)

      Thank you again.

    • AAAArrrrggghhhh!
If I try to login, it tells me username or password is not correct.
The email's telling me only the email-adress and password (of course I remember).

I believe: email registering confirmation should contain the exact words of both, or the site should allow me to enter the e-mail-adress.

But I tried both (3 words) and still gimme the finger.

The big registration window at right is only welcome if I visit the site the first time.
After confirmation, I don't f... want to see it, just a simple login that works and remembers me.

Sorry, please make it easy for me, my nerves!

    • Wolfgang, you make a very good point... The site is set to send the email as Community Builder defaults. I'll have to look into the possibilities for that.

As far as the large registration window at the right... I am not sure what you mean. I have a login module at the left, but the right?

And I have found the login to work and remember if you choose the "remember me" box when logging in...

Sorry I cannot be more clear. I am not sure I am completely understanding where you are coming from.

    • When I visit the site as a registered user, I want everything say: Hello, we know and we like you.
The Wordpress guy is understandig it. When you come back there, it says: wellcome back, Wolfgang!
This feels good to me, even if a robot would say it, it still feels good.
So there's no need for the big registration window anymore, if I come back, we know each other.
The web is not sensual by default, but we're trying to make it a better place, right?
      (That's where I come from).

    • Well, Joomla does this, IF you can log in... It will remember and welcome you. I never have to log in to my site or this one, for example. I am still logged in.

Of course, I believe it is also partly determined by your security settings and browser. Others who are more familiar with the inner workings of Joomla may be able to add more to this.

    • 1. Look: when I register, and get the confirmation email, then come back to the site, there is -- Nothing-- to say hello. The registration-window's not there, OK, but instead it there should be someone saying: hey, you're back! You are now logged in as Wolfgang.

      2. The little Login-Window askes me for --usernname and --password; where the confirmation email granted me acces with email/name! It should be the same.

I know I'm stupid but some sites don't make me feel like I am.
I don't have a problem if you correct me, but...
Some sites work for me and some don't.
I'd like this one to work for me!

    • Basically, your wanting -

1 - Ohhhh, I like the site - I am going to sign up.
2 - I sign up and give them all my info.
3 - as soon as I submit my info site says -

      A) "Hey, Wolfgang - go to your email to confirm it is you - thanks for joining or something like that" You go to email, confirm it taking you back to the site and it says (see #4)

      B) "A Email has been sent to confirm your account or something like that" which upon going to confirmation confirming email, you click it and it takes you back to the site and says (see #4)

4 - "Hey, Wolfgang, you just confirmed your membership - thanks you can now login or you have been auto logged in or something like that."

In other words...your saying from a non-designer web user who is totally absent of web surfing knowledge (which we all as designers forget that not everyone is familiar with the web and how it functions) that the site should have baby steps, every step of the way, for the "Non-Experienced Web User" - which can be a good portion of your consumers. So, that they are easily guided along. :P Ok, this is to early in the morning to be writing...

Yes, Wolfgang - I understand what you are saying. I have a couple of people that I go to just to watch them use the web. Why? Because, they don't know how to use it and focus only on the things that are simple and immediately exit sites that are confusing or to busy. Even registering to some sites for me can be confusing, so, I can imagine if I have trouble - boy, they must hate themselves and feel stupid, because they don't understand.

      Is that a better clarification? ??? ::)
