I know this is way off topic - whatever the topic is...
Has anyone here tried Second Life? I've been in it for a week and I'm fascinated! I know you hard core gamers have maybe seen better.
Your thoughts?

Have they released a version for Vista yet? I am running Vista on my desktop and I just installed it on my notebook. I played it for a few days, but I could see very quickly I'd be getting addicted so I stopped before I had "a problem".
I spend way too much time online as it is.
But I'd love to see what you guys think of it.

haven't been there yet. closest i came was a week ago on a BBC report hearing that the developer want's to merge the worlds of virtual reality and real life... eg:
you walk up to a phone booth in second life and call a number of a friend in second life... but they're not online... so the call gets redirected into the real world and they can answer the call on their cell-phones. They can also make video's with their phones and send them to 2nd life and have them automatically play on a tv screen in second life.
all sounds cool to me.
will go there when i have a better connection than ADSL128 - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

It's free, however there is a paying experience that you can opt for. It's like, sure you can go to town and window shop if you have no money.

Fortunately none of my computers had a good enough graphics card.
Second Life crashed after just a few seconds.
I play RocketTheme - get a new challenge every month
and I can play on my £70 400MHz Dell laptop ;D
