    • I'll post a pic of my avatar this evening. I can't now because of the company firewall.

Actually, SL interests me more as a space in which issues and cultural dialogue can occur... What I'd really like to do is set up an "Artificial Shark Fin Soup" restaurant that sells Vegetarian shark fin soup. I want to raise awareness about the fact that many shark species are now "functionaly extinct" due to over hunting by humans..

I once got chased by a shark >:(

I was on a boogie board being pulled by a speed boat... skimming along and i look toward the beach and everyone is jumping up and down and yelling at me (i couldn't hear them of course). A short while later the boogie board nosedived and i shot underwater. The boat stopped and turned around to pick me up... that's when they saw the shark fin coming at me. They sped over quick and pulled me out. I was oblivious to the shark up until that point. :-\

I'd love to try some shark fin soup ;D

Most hard-core gamers say that the experience in SL is pedestrian. Games have way better graphics and motion, but you are limited to within the game.

    • Today was a day spent unpacking boxes of small stuff. I had been temporarily staying with a co-worker until I found this place a week and a half ago. After of unpacking for a while, I zoned out into Second Life and visited the NASA and sat on the Lunar Excursion Module. That's me (my avatar) siting on the top of the LEM.

After NASA, I went over to the Isle of Wyrms (sp?). There I found a stage and a few people who listened as I played percussion in a Fantasy Island (not the TV show).

One that same island, I strolled over to relax on the river with a scenic view in the background. Here a wide and close photo of me contemplating my next big move.

Second Life has opened a whole new vista (not the OS) for me. I do get out, but I think I have found a way to have fun during the cold months - BUT SUMMER IS ON IT'S WAY!!! YIPPEE!!!!
