Update of sorts...
Aplus.net is NOT someone you want to host with if your even thinking about using Joomla.
Trying Rochen now... But i'm having some problems, the ftp server name does not resolve through my work servers. I can get to the control panel from home only, again not at all from work...
I'm sure it's blocked ports from my corp server though...
My site right now is still on my old host till I can get move it over... but so far I'm having zero luck with just about everything. Example....
Also as far as JoomlaPack, got it to backup my site, but it will not install in my new... "ristricted access" is the reply I get from my browser...
If it were not for bad luck I would have none today...

About the restricted access, where or when do you get this error ?
You know that with Joompack you first have to go to the installation dir and reinstall Joomla ?
(This to restore all the data). - I use simplix, does this mean that I'm a simple guy ?

It is a minor factor, but it is taken into account. That's why a lot of adsense pages from the same person are hosted in different countries. I haven't tested yet how big the effect is, but on several SEO forums they talk about this.
But I can't imagine that this will have a big impact, other things are more important (metatags, code, content, ...) - I use simplix, does this mean that I'm a simple guy ?

Having a delay getting it running since I work long hours and or corp blocks the port I NEED to use to get to the control panel.
