i'm predicting 3-0 tonight; we might think its an easy game simply because it is and i just think we're too good for them
re. german; anyone a chelsea fan? if i were i'd be gutted we're paying so much for ballack. he looked ordinary and at his age he's only got one more really good season and if he spends next year get used to a new club then its all over ...

I saw the Germany-Poland game... locally it was on from 3am ~ 5am and I managed to wake up @8:30am for work! Well worth it though, entertaining all around... and even more so after the red card.
Not that interested in Ecuador v. Costa Rica but will probably end up watching it anyway. Will def watch England v. TT but can't do another 3-5 am job for Sweden v. Paraguay!

- well that england game was nerve wracking. first being in the us i have to put up with these idiot US commentator who the whole way through were saying how poorly england was doing and how great trinidad was playing, etc etc. It was nausiating. Any fool could see that england absolutely dominated that game but form some reason just could not put it away. If we had any luck on our side and we managed to keep the ball the atmosphere, it would of been a 6-nil game at least.

- First time we've qualified from the first two games in a long time, it's all looking good. England will get better! Lets hope owen and all get their acts together and start to play like we know they can. I do feel kinda sorry for TT, for me they've given the best performances and entertained me the most so far. I'd love to see them go through to the next round, but I don't think this is gonna happen.

big big hangover this morning because i had to do the whole thing again with sweden v paraguay after the england game
quite chuffed with how it all went though. left it late but 3 points is 3 points and we woul dhave all accpeted 2-0 befor ethe game started

- 6-nil when i turned it off. Argentina does play beautifully but do they have some guys on the argentinian olympic dive team? Seems's they've got that down to an artform. Our shoddy US commentators never mention it tho.

The Netherlands - Côte d'Ivoire: 2 - 1
The Ivory Coast did their very best,
in the second half they were stronger
and there were some pretty scary moments
for the Dutch goalie.
In that second half the Dutch team
lacked some coherence
But in the end the number of goals decide.
The "orange" public was fantastic
they knew/felt when things were not OK
and cheered their team on.
