- If I had the money why not but to show how macs really work I get a lot done on a Mini and an old G-4 better then I can do on my HP. Just hands down its a pleasure to work on.

The Mac vs PC threads that pop up everywhere suffer the same spurge of "Apple campaign" jargon and cannot be taken seriously. Working with Macs and mac users for years, this page sums up my feelings perfectly:

Hi AzzX,
are you happy with your PC? Be happy. You can be happy for the rest of you life! I know the people like you. They said Mac is only a hype and nothing is better. They found many "Bug list´s" from Macs - but if they search, they found 1000´s more "Bug lists" from PC´s. So i think you have never work really on a Mac - so if you worke one time really with a Mac, you will know what we are talk about.

A Mac is just the computer, then comparison is really with one thing only, the operating system (if we are to generalise). Leopard is just better than Windows, there is no word of a doubt when seeing it in the general context.
Why are so many Mac/OSX users adamant that their little machines are better than the PC/Windows, why, probably because we use both systems, normally on a daily basis and know which is the better product. Saying that we all brainwashed followings of Apple is just an absurd thing to say. OSX isn't perfect and may not be up to scratch for a few task that Windows is capable of but viewing the bigger picture, you just cannot compare.
I know that article you posted was suppose to be in tongue and cheek but really are small digs which someone has concocted which can be applied to anything. You could say the same about almost anything.
Like you said, each to their own but if everyone had a choice after exploring the full aspects of each system, I can guarantee a greater percentage of people preferring Mac/Leopard. - James Spencer / Developer & Support / Hull, UK

Started using Macs with OS7 many years ago in the graphic arts field and have evolved into variable digital imaging and design prepress technical roles, So I get asked many questions by Mac and PC users about various issues.
My Home Network currently has a $300 linux Server "Fedora", A Q6600 Quad core PC overclocked to 3ghz and a Dual 1.8ghz Intel Mac. Work is a mixture of Mac and PC platforms.
Let me tell you, the Quad PC is a hell load more fun than the Mac, and Adobe CS3 performance is fantastic. Hardware support is a massive advantage for a PC as is the gaming community. SteamPowered currently has more users than all 3 nextgen consoles combined.

Now that is a really general assumption, Its about on Par and both are too bloated for the higher level user.
As for Home Media Centers - Windows has it all over OSX, Media Center in XP and Vista Home, and the best gpl media center going - Mediaportal.
Sure you can run Windows on a Mac but I am talking on a enthusiast and high end gaming level so I suppose my bias draws from that
