We have purchased Rok_gallery and installed it on our joomla 1.5 site. but the latest version had some issues with joomla 1.5 so we downloaded rok_gallery 2.9 as suggested in the forums. I'm assumming you're talking about RokAuthenticator? I might get slapped for saying this... but what I do on sites I turn over to a client, I disable the plugin all-together All the freebies will still update just fine... do the others (like RokGallery) manually IMO

I had a similar hassle on my virtual dedicated that pointed to the mysql-PDO extension wasnt on apache (requires recompiling apache in WHM panel) worked sweet after that The mods might have a better answer :)
