      I am a bit confused. Is the apache handler, or fastCGI, specific to one web site, or to the server? I have other 2.5, 3.2, and 1.5 sites on this server and they do not exhibit the same issues.

      It can be both, it all depends on the server setup. On some servers you can have one main php.ini but also a "local" php.ini with different configurations on different sites/folders.

      This can make things confusing when troubleshooting on a server that you don't know much about so...
