    • Kat I think I may have found it... ? I had rokgzipper installed and disabled. Removed gzipper entirely and now I can save and apply. OMG!!! Now just wondering why you can't get in to the site.

    • Guess I may have spoke to soon. My .htaccess is the problem "I think" but it's identical to others I have used on other sites. Also the problem just popped up out of nowhere.

    • Well after hours of digging I finally wormed it down to being the .htaccess file. I don't know what changed but I have since updated the file with Akeeba Admin Tools and all is well though.

      I have played around with Akeeba Admin, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything in particular. Can you give us anymore detail?

      PS I'm wondering if it is a PHP version problem. I have a server running PHP 5.3.2 which seems to be working okay, but problems on a server with PHP 5.2.8. What version is your server running? Perhaps they did an upgrade recently?

      it should work fine with either php 5.2.x or 5.3.x, but i suggest to use the latest of 5.2.x or latest of 5.3.x.
      5.2.8 (dec 2008) is not latest in the 5.2.x series, you should try to get 5.2.17 (jan 2011) instead.
