    • Hi, our product isn't faulty. If you were having issues with it, you should have brought them to our attention during your membership which started 6 months ago and expired 3 months later - we would have been happy to provide support at that time. Why you would wait 6 months to bring this supposed fault to our attention is beyond our control. There are no refunds, there are no free updates, end of story.

      To throw you a bone, your original message indicates you're getting this error:

      An error occurred: Rollback failed. There is no active transaction.

      The solution to this may not even need an upgrade, the upgrade may or may not even fix your issue. This is not a bug so an update doesn't address it - if you look in the change log, there is no mention of this error being corrected. As I mentioned a few posts back it's either related to your hosting account not supporting the specs, or something in your configuration that we have no control over. Either way - it's related to your setup - not our product. Bugs or faulty products would mean that everyone experiences the issue - not just you. A problem on your end doesn't necessarily indicate a fault on our end.

      Try plugging the error into the forum search and see what you find, or Google it. Since we're nice, we let non members browse our forums. Here's some that I found:

      This the end of the road for support on this if you choose not to renew your membership. Sorry you having trouble, but there's nothing more we can do for you if you choose not to renew your membership.

      I just wanted to bring this thread to a close with a happy ending. Bhavesh has been in contact with me and my issue has been solved after installing the 2.14 version of the component, I am now happily creating galleries and uploading images to my site!

      I am often building websites for the community and small business projects and I am pleased to say that I always point them to RocketTheme and the Joomla software as a first choice and will now continue to do so. I have used other template services before but they we're far more expensive and we ran into endless issues!

      I would like to extend a final thanks and I suggest others stuck in a similar situation to get in touch with Bhavesh for a swift resolution. Thank you!

      That's great news, maybe someone at Rockettheme realised that Returning Happy customers earn more than the free update you're denying unhappy customers. Since the fix had to be developed anyway.


      Cliff -

      You agreed with me that it was like a gym membership, but then used the other posters example to make me sound silly. (That being going back 6 months after your membership had expired, which IMHO is a bit cheeky).

      My example was when I straight away reported the problem, and it took over two and a half months to fix (Virtually My entire membership). Blaming other peoples setup is also a straw man, you release products with minimum spec requirements, which I met.
      A fix was released to address my issue, so it seems I paid membership fees to be a guinea pig for Rockettheme.

      Explain to me Cliff, how you would treat the good person at the gym helpdesk, if they said to you -
      "Yes, I know we advertised a treadmill, and I know it's broken, but I'm afraid that's your fault, it worked for us. We don't do refunds, we don't extend membership because it's broken (except if our new machines are a day late)"



      On a side note - what the hell is the deal with only offering 3 month memberships once for WP (If I'm reading you right). You're pissing off people by doing, and if all they have to do is make a new account, you're not preventing anything specific, just annoying existing/past customers.

    • Glad the original issue was resolved. Not sure why we're still debating this.

      My take on this - if you guys don't like how we do it, feel free to develop your own website products and use those. Then you'll never have to pay anyone and you can have all the updates you want and they'll be available as soon as you release them. Then you can start your own company and give free memberships and updates to everyone forever. If you think that's a better option than paying a few dollars here and there - good luck with that.

      If you had any idea how hard our developers work to bring you these products you would see why we don't have much sympathy for those who don't want to pay for it. They tirelessly work day in, day out, late nights, every single month to give you some of the most advanced website products on the planet that you can use just by clicking on it. Saying that our products aren't worth paying for is quite disrespectful to them, and the entire staff here in my opinion.

      This is why most of our members are happy to pay for memberships and renewals, because our products and support have value to them. If you don't want to renew, that is certainly your decision. But you're not get anything from us if you choose to go that route.

    • @Cliff - I couldn't agree more with your sentiments.

      There's far too much whingeing, whining, and complaining here recently from people who want something for nothing.

      I think generally the staff and Mods at RT go above and beyond especially when compared to other template companies, so you all get a big thumbs up from us :cheesy:

      (when does my free membership kick in by the way for being a good supporter? 8) )

      P.S - T3Kaos, I totally understand the frustration and anger the delay might have caused but I will really appreciate it if you don't use threats to get service out of any company, thanks! :-)

      I am pleased to announce that my faith is now restored in the RT's customer service ability. Bhavesh D has sorted my issue out with politeness and courtesy and I will most certainly be returning as a customer to RocketThemes.
