Oh, I am all into spammy! I just copy and paste 300 keywords into each post I make. :P Yeah, whatever.

    • I actually deleted most of my original post in the I like Spammy post above, but let's just say my spam career ended when the head honcho of one of the top 10 websites in the world (as per Alexa) - personally contacted me to stop spamming please and stated "don't do it again" (I truly gave their team a run for their money - I out witted every block they came up with  But hey, they pissed me off and I was always polite 'wow, a polite spammer' - it's amazing how easy it is to amass a little army of helpers to support your cause. Plus, I have to give credit to them for helping me consistently override the sites system to block posts). But alas - my spamming days are long gone.

But I did learn a lot about the web during that period. Now, I just need to stop being so creative and apply myself...cause that is the real secret of success - apply yourself, be consistent and make sure you have a niche. Of course Search Engines now have moved towards that...meaning Keywords just don't cut it no more. I think this says it all in an off beat way - "Trading Links" http://bit.ly/1AgC1b

Google is not going to trade links with you unless you deliver.

    • Oh, and just to give you heads up...they are no longer in the top ten and they finally had to close down their "Illegal Prostitution Posting" this year. Hahahahahahaha about time. I cheered when that section got cut off by the courts. I saw first hand the side effects of this victimless crime. Yeah, whatever. You tell me how victimless it is when pimps kidnap your teenage daughter from L.A. or across the country and force her to work the streets in Las Vegas.

I got to see these thugs operate and good ol' CL was right their helping out and claiming it was a "victimless crime". So, I trained spammer after spammer (along with companies) how to nail CL's Erotic Services with Spam...and I gave all my secrets away. You ask anyone over the 2 year period who knew me - they all use to get mad, and I mean really mad at me (they even screamed at me to stop giving away how to do it) and wonder why I gave my secrets away. I am finally admitting it - because CL filled up with (remember this is a while ago) large amounts of spammers, yes, they were there before, but not like this and I made sure there were more and trained.

Because the tighter the rope they put on posting the tighter the rope it was put on all the posters...made it harder and harder for the really bad people to do their thing. Of course CL had already set itself up for a fall, which didn't come soon enough.

Trust me if you ever seen a frightened teenager stuck on the Las Vegas Strip as her pimps driving in SUV's and walking the streets in an organized Mafia style making sure that she knows they are watching from everywhere. Beeping her on the Nextel they force her to carry - saying we are watching you. That little victimless crime CL was so staunch on supporting doesn't seem so victimless anymore. Then add to the fact that I found out the bad guys were utilizing CL - I went on a campaign.

So, if they are wondering why - spamming jumped up 20,000% & steadily increased in the now Defunct Erotic Services in such a short time - CL can thank that frightened young lady forced to the streets of Las Vegas who has never left my mind. Oh, by the way I used to be a pedicab driver in Las Vegas - so, I got to see the day to day life on the strip.

CL erotic services were shut down for illegally supporting Prostitution, but before the courts finally stepped up - I gave CL a run for the there money, along with all the illegal pimps who preyed on women and I have no shame in my game for doing it.

What does this have to do with SEO - well, you have to learn a lot fast and understand how things work, plus - I picked up and noticed a few things while I was doing this - one was how CL ads were indexed on Google and another point - if you really want to know how things work - watch the spammers. Doesn't mean repeat what they do, but will help you understand how things work then you just make sure you do things right minus the spammy part. I am not a spam fan or a illegal fan, but I do study things to see how they work so I can make things better.

The biggest lesson I learned via my campaign was this - everything you need to know on the web is right there in front of you. You just have to look. If you want to SEO your site to be top - go to google search for your product or service - then look at the similar sites that show up on top.

Look at how they set their sites up and well, you just learned how to SEO, but you got to pay attention to details and ask yourself - why they do certain things. How do they set up their titles? How do they set up their SEF links in the address bar? Do the titles and the links match? How do they set up their articles? Everything you need to know - is right there in front of you. Do they constantly update? Then as you find the answers - adjust your site.

      Peace Out,
      Wingman
