    • Hi,

First of all, I'm a newbie in both Joomla and Programming. So, please be patient. I have two situations:

      a) I download templates, but when I try to install, I get the message: "Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package." What I should do specifically?

      b) I downloaded the Grunge template, but couldn't display the existing menus/content. It just shows a Home Page with an existing photo, but nothing else. No menus, no nothing.

      Can any one help, please?

      Regards

      Ricardo

    • Hello,

Completely new to this. Does anyone know how to properly install a template using Microsoft Matrix? It doesn't seem to have the options listed in the tutorials.

    • You should probably ask Microsoft for support. Anyway, can you supply a screenshot so that we can check what's missing at least? 8)

You should use XAMPP for localhost development.

    • I've been wanting to upgrade my website to drupal for 2 years. I was waiting for D7 which is supposed to be easy to use. I can't wait any longer, it has to be done in a few weeks time. can anyone explain to me how to get this thing going? I've downloaded afterburner, I know it is D6 but I really like the speed and SEO of it. Are there any D7 themes with the same speed and SEO? Regardless of which theme I use, I can't even get started. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've been pulling my hair out for hours just trying to get started. I know drupal and joomla are superior to expression web and other easier programs. I've been working on web sites for years, i should be able to grasp this and still cannot. Help me please!

    • Hi, I'm fairly new at Joomla.

I have a site built on the the old Affinity template.

I need to upgrade it to the new one without shutting the whole site down, mainly to incorporate JomSocial.

What is the easiest way to do that? If i just do a regular upload it says I cant because the affinity file is already occupied.

      Thanks, Debbie
