    • Yes, some flavor of version 5 is necessary....

Curl enabled, php.ini memory limit at least 32MB.

Thank you both, Henning & JEM, for a prompt reply. I will have to see with my host provider to upgrade to PHP 5...

On most hosts, you have a choice through the CP.

If it's not available, you'll have to ask for support.

Well, my host provider corrected me and assures they are running PHP 5.x. - and that the Joomla install should be strait forward. They charge for additional support with Joomla install, but with a quick look at the first installation page (after RL was extracted) I am told the missing graphics is perhaps corrupted or missing files. Your instructions are pretty strait forward so that is difficult to imagine. Nonetheless, anew I attempted to do a fresh install with a different (newer template) RL pack, but same results.

Perhaps I am getting ahead of myself but I tried a simple info.php test script - curiously it spat out a blank page (good/bad?). As suggested, I had a look in my cPanel, and here is what I gathered:

      - PHP Configuration states ''These PHP configuration settings are customizable by the server administrator.''
      - PHP Configuration also states "memory limit of 128M"
      - Under File Manager, I see a PHP folder (and empty subfolders).
      - phpMyAdmin states Web server under PHP is MySQL.
      - Not sure about Curl, I see nothing of this ?

Under my Public_html I have an html build website currently being hosted (NB: RL install is in a subfolder as a sub-domain). And in both the home directory and Public_html I see a cgi_bin. Would any of the above create a conflict in any way?

I was hoping this would be an easy one... My apologies for the long post, but I prefer to cover all details for better assistance, and future newbs.

      Thank you in advance.

    • Hi,

Probably something simple, but I have just installed the SolarSentinal Rocket Launcher on a new server (It worked fine previously) but keep getting the following error message when selecting the tutorial menus.

Warning: cannot yet handle MBCS in html_entity_decode()! in /home/content/s/s/t/ssthai/html/RAS/libraries/joomla/application/pathway.php on line 209

      Any help greatly appreciated.

    • Incomplete Template & backend graphics after RocketLauncher Install

SOLVED - The problem was with HotLinking.

To save others time - below are two recommendations I gathered from reading posts on other sites.

1 - When uploading from FTP, use binary transfer type for images, exe, and compressed files (see Transfer menu in FileZilla). So I uploaded the zipped RocketLauncher file this way.

2 - When working from a sub-domain (or domain), make sure to add your URL (web address) to the Hotlink access list. In cPanel , you can access the HotLink Protection features under the Security tab. Make sure HotLink protection is enabled, and then add your URL for your subdomain (e.g.: subdomain.yoursite.com ),

      * NB: In case the above doesn't work for you, another suggestion was to edit the configurations.php file in the subdomain's (or domain) directory. Look for this line
$mosConfig_live_site = ' www.yourdomain.com/subdomainfolder '; and change it to $mosConfig_live_site = ' subdomainfolder.yourdomain.com/ '; Save it, upload it to the subdomain folder and try it again.

I have read through various forums so my apologies for not being able to credit those who have pointed me in the right direction. But thank you all, and thank you to Henning and JEM on the RocketTheme forum.

    • Dang, I'm sorry!
I didn't realize I had an entire folder of photos deleted from photobucket by mistake. I'm sorry I lost the images for this tutorial.
I didn't know and no one told me the links were broken.
      Again, I'm sorry about that!
