I am really starting to feel this anemic feeling. My wife says I look like "a ghost" (white as a sheet). My head hurts and my eyes are "killing me!" I am going to go get my blood counts checked tomorrow. I am thinking that I already need another transfusion. My last one was on July 9th and IT'S TIME!
This is the first, in a long-line of symptoms/treatments I am gonna have to go through with this. I have read so much info on this condition from sites like: WebMD, Cancer.org, mds-foundation.org,
Thanks for the "well-wishes."

Today, I am quite dizzy while standing so I'm not doing much at all! I'm scared to go to the VA feeling like this because if I were to fall or pass-out my poor-little wife would be scared-to-death and would be unable to help me. I think I'll wait until tomorrow to see if this dizziness goes-away!
Honestly 'sucks being you' is easy to say (my dad died of cancer similar to yours, my mom, also a cancer survivor 'missed the bullet' on several accounts.)
But never, NEVER give up.
I always remember my dad saying 'one more shitty day above the dirt is is worth 1000 days under it'.
He fought until the day he died, never gave up, and appreciated the things that most people take for granted...
Again, you inspire all of us and you are in our thoughts and prayers.
I agree. Hearing about the things that you are working through gives other people a little better perspective about the things that we take for granted. A healthy life is something to appreciate, but even illness can help us to be better human beings.
Your positive attitude is inspiring. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope your Sunday is less dizzy than yesterday was. Kudos for thinking of your 'poor little wife' while you are going through this. I think I might get a little selfish when I am sick. Stay strong.
I slept about 12 hrs last night and woke-up starving! I'm still a little dizzy but my wife and I moved some stuff around so I can do more from my Master Bedroom. It's funny, My Master Bedroom now looks like the studio apartment I had in college. I had to move in here to segregate myself from the rest of the family. My immune-system is gonna take "A-dive" soon and I have to be careful.
My Masterbedroom now contains:
- All of the normal bedroom furniture
3- Guitars
1- Piano/Keyboard
2- Computers
1- 25" TV with satellite hooked up
1- DVD Player
1- Small home stereo with CD changer
And of course, all of my Art and Drawing supplies.
