    • Hi Penn, which other forum are you referring too?
If you have questions about the styles and installations procedure, can you place them in the phpbb3 styles forum under the appropriate topics, instead of putting them in general section, because I easily miss these.
You just need to extract the file and upload files to the appropriate directories.
      Forum can be found here:

I have asked this question on the phpBB forum but I'm not expecting an answer in a hurry. Apparently you to upload this file into the main root of the forum to get things working. However, I have no idea where to get this file from

In which phpbb forum did you ask this question? Here on RT?

I also installed the forum and a rocket theme phpbb templates on a completely different website using 1.5.7 but exactly the same thing happens as you can see

      www.amazontank.com/

I've gone through the forums and they talk about putting rokbb.php in the forum root and making sure the path is correct. Sure I can find rokbb.php now, but it is inside a folder with lots of other documents and folders. So I've ground to a halt.

    • Well it is sort of working now. I thought nothing ventured nothing gained so I uploaded rokbb.php by itself and everything started working, well sort of. The forum doesn't look right so I am guessing that a path needs altering

Very nice; FB (which is now also known as Kunena) reduced the queries down from more than 200 to nearly 80 now...huge improvement. Sure, it's an eightfold increase over phpbb3 and requires legacy mode, but it does have a cool name!

    • Very impressive when you consider that the switch-over only happened a few weeks ago, they seem to be going at break neck speeds to fix bugs and improve speeds at rates that previously took months or years or not at all. Unlike the previous crowd, these guys seem to be highly enthusiastic and capable of providing a durable and reliable forum system, and this can be seen with the massive improvements that are happening so fast and impressing so many people.

If the developers keep this up, Kunena appears to have a very bright future that Fireboard never had.

Seems there is hope for many small forum users with Kunena, but having said that, it's not going to be for everyone, and that's where other solutions are available.

I'll be launching a Kunena forum on my site in the next few months, I expect the forum to only be small for quite some time due to the niche nature of the site, so Kunena will do the job just fine. If it gets busy, I'll look at switching to phpBB.
