- The SMF bridge is not being developed anymore however the developer has given permission for work to be continued by anyone maybe RT can take over and make it work with Joomla 2.5.

You probably don't know how much time is involved in getting a bridge working.

- I am not using phpBB otherwise I would have helped, been using SMF since 2004 and don't think will switch (maybe will switch to Ninjaboard but have to see what the next version brings as the current version 1.1.x is not feature rich)
