    • I've been using it for years and I wouldn't use any other cart system.

      ?
It seems a teasing promo trailer...

Glad I wasn't the only one who picked up on that.

    • It would be a promo if he said which cart it is ;)

    • He will, of course. That's why I said he's using a teasing strategy.
By the way, not surprising that ZOO was mentioned: YT used the same method to promote it.

    • I mentioned ZOO because someone else had mentioned it and I responded that it is not ZOO (which isn't a cart anyway) :cheesy:

I am in no way affiliated with the cart system I'm referring to, other than the fact that I have been using it as my cart of choice (my company is almost 15 years old). I started this thread to give a heads up and to hopefully grab Andy's attention to the possibility of developing some themes for e-commerce based on it. I had spoken with Andy about doing so over a year ago...to which he replied they were considering putting together a few themes for Magento. (yuck)

I'm certainly not trying to "tease" anyone... I'm simply thrilled that the developer took my advice about the lack of a truly stable, commercial grade cart system for Joomla and decided to fill the gap.

Once he gives me the thumbs up...(he's adding in a Virtuemart product import component at my behest) I'll send everyone the link and hope that everyone thinks it's as great as I do.

Knowing how cynical some can be...I'm just waiting until he says everything is working exactly the way he wants it to. I'd sure hate to point Joomla peeps to something that wasn't quite ready and have them poo-poo all over it.

    • Nobody ever thought that ZOO is a cart: I said that this teasing strategy was used by YT to promote it.
You could simply post a link with your comment when the product was ready and online.

all this talk and hype with no link, no name, no details is usually all a bunch of junk.
Excited or not, it's vaporware garbage without details.

And, this kind of promotion has the 'feeling' of spam. I'm not saying it is, but blah blah blah blah.

I'm talking a full blown cart. This was the first mention of ZOO in reference to it.

    • If it is ClickCartPro, I have wasted my time reading this thread.
