    • I installed the new media mogul template after setting up joomla on my site. But the only way to access the new template is with /joomla after the site address. Did I install joomla wrong. It only gave 1 option and that was to install to the /joomla folder. Can someone help this newbie?

    • Hi Robert,

I was able to upload the Media Mogul template with the great mini tutorial above-thanks! I'm having difficulty in installing the template and am getting the error 404 code as referenced in the prior post. I'm entering www.smileinspired.com/joomla_rt_mediamogul/ and I get the error 404 message. I have the template listed under a root directory (/smileinspired) and I believe my web host APlus.net references that the domain name points to the HTML folder under the root directory (this is where Joomla is installed). Should I move the template under the HTML directory or is there another process I need to follow? Thanks for your assistance.

This will upload the contents of the RocketLauncher folder to your /root or to the target folder designated by you.

Step 10 - goto your site now and complete the installation of your new RocketLauncher Template.

      I hope this tutorials helps!

      Hi Wage-

Thanks for adding this and all the screenshots, now I know at least my FTP upload directory/tree install is correct-

That said, you then close by saying "on to Step 10"-

Well, like many posts above, for this RT install, I've loaded *everything* into my ::root:: directory... (No /joomla or /subdirectory) yet cannot get anything to launch?? In fact, the Tutorial syntax line (Launch-RT-YourPackage) or whatever it says, is not an option with Populus that I can see...

What is the lauch code (excuse the pun) - Or was I supposed to place some files in a subdirectory (e.g. /joomla) I've used RL 3 times now (in subdirectories), with no issues- but for the life of me can't recall the start command-

I'm dorking around in /installation and /template folders but gettindg DB/Pear errors, and now this:

Direct Access to this location is not allowed.

I know this is Rookie Pilot error :( but can someone shed some light as to where I went wrong???

FWIW, there WAS originally a Joomla 1.5 build in my ::root:: on this site, but I deleted those files, and did a fresh install/build- I did NOT delete the existing *configuration.php* or index files (thinking FTP would overwrite them) AT FIRST, but have removed/renamed them now (referencing posts above) so maybe that was the snag- but still no go - Any thoughts?

      TIA-

      Brent (#2)

OK here's the "Step 10" line from the RL Tutorial I was referring to before: www.yoursite.com/Joomla_RT_Rocket-Launcher-Pack-Name (Populus) This path/line/code does not exist!? :(

    • After thought-

Your directions say one can UNZIP all files & folders (e.g. /administrator) and FTP to your ROOT directory-

After looking at the RT code more, seems we need to create a /Joomla_RT_Populus subdirectory, where
      mysite.com/Joomla_RT_Populus contains:
      /administrator
      /cache
      /components
/editor and the rest are located- Is this correct? If so, it's not a true root install... just to the RT sub directory (Can you tell I'm sooooo confused!!) :o God, hate to think I just wasted a 7 hour FTP upload!!! Grrr! :(

Right now /administrator et al are in my true root directory - not a RT subdiirectory... any hope?

      Thanks for any assistance-

      Brent II

PS: Stuck at a stand-still, so I created a /Joomla-RT-Populus Subdirectory, and moved all my files there hoping that would help... Well, at least I'm getting errors now..

Warning: main(/includes/version.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/xyz/mysite.com/Joomla_RT_Populus/includes/joomla.php on line 71

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/includes/version.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php/PEAR:/usr/local/share/pear') in /hsphere/local/home/xyz/mysite.com/Joomla_RT_Populus/includes/joomla.php on line 71

It calls out /includes/joomla.php & version.php - of which, both exist- So, I dunno... Drop 10 and punt :(

    • Apologies in advance if this is in the wrong thread and if it's a daft question.

I'd like to install RocketLauncher/Template on a sub domain for testing, are the install instructions the same but just installing in the sub domain root folder?

      Thanks

    • Yes sure.....there wont be any problem...just must write the right path. For example upload the Rocketlauncher at www.mysite.com/test/ , after of it install from www.mysite.com/test .
