I'm already back! My blood counts were low but they wouldn't transfusion me because it hasn't been long-enough since my last one. So, I will be tolerating feeling weak for a while!

Oh Boy!
I start another week-long chemo regimen tomorrow! This one is 5-days in a row again and then another period of time off!
I think that the
Vidaza®
is working because, in comparison, I am feeling better! I hope it lasts and improves even more! I hope that I'm not
Neutropenic
because if I am, I will have to start NEUPOGEN® shots in the thigh. I've had them before and they kinda hurt! But they are vital for stimulating the bone marrow to produce white-blood-cells! But in my case, they may NOT help! My bone marrow isn't making new cells like it's supposed to.... Therefore, these shots would only make me sick.
Oh well. I've accepted that this is how my life is gonna be. The last time I checked, there still wasn't a "cure" for cancer. All of these treatments are only gonna give me more time and I'll take what I can get!
Thanks for reading my babble.

I had day 3 of 5 chemo treatments today and all I want to do is "go to bed!"
I actually fell asleep in the chemo room today! It's weird how this stuff makes you feel. As soon as the
Zofran
wears-off, it hits you! Extreme fatigue and some nausea. The nausea has been, for the most part, mild for me. I have had much worse nausea. To some, this may be alot. I've just had alot of chemo since 2004 and I had MUCH WORSE nausea!
Thanks for reading my "babble."

I had a "rough night" last night. I suddenly had some nausea and vomited a couple of times. During the night, I "spiked-a-fever"! After the fever broke, I sweat-the-bed, and had uncontrollable shakes/shivers.
I was able to get a couple of hours-sleep but when I woke up the nausea was still there and I threw-up again. I had nothing on my stomach this time, so it was nothing but stomach bile (very unpleasant).
I had dose 4 of 5 today and my doctor gave me some nausea pills to hold-off the nausea. the nausea caught me off-guard because I hadn't really had any and it came on suddenly.
Oh well. I hope it goes away!

Some people spend a lot of money on a Saturday to get those symptoms Sunday morning :cheesy:
Seriously though, I hope the worst of it diminishes and that your recovery gets underway sooner rather than later.
Hang in there big guy!

I finished dose 5 of 5 today and I am feeling fairly good, I guess! I'm not totally sure, but I think I get a few weeks off now to rest and recuperate. I hope my blood counts hold for a while but I kinda expect them to fall eventually!
Because of the nausea I experienced, I have kinda lost my appetite. I haven't eaten much in several days and I've lost about 10lbs. The nurses "got onto me" today about the weight loss and said I needed to pay attention to it..... and EAT to keep my strength-up!
Thanks for reading my "babble!"
